User Setting File:

All of the Watchdog configuration information is stored in the data.dat file located in the C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\moblur\watchdog\X.X.X.X folder. X.X.X.X will be the current version number for watchdog. This file will be automatically created after closing Watchdog. The only user editable lines in the data.dat file are the Server and Port Data lines.

Port Settings :

The first time Watchdog is launched a dialog prompting for Server Name and Port appears. After this information is entered it is stored in the data.dat file. If you need to change this information go to the Options menu and choose Connection Settings, update the information and restart the Watchdog client. By default the server launches using the port 8888.

Helper Applications:

Lastly select the "Helper Applications..." item under the Settings menu. This dialog specifies the locations of applications such as fcheck and vnc which help to extend the functionality of the Watchdog system. Click here for additional information on the Helper Application dialog.
