Dogpound
Server :: Software Versions and Locations
To
allow for the most flexibility in a multi-version software environment,
the Watchdog system supports an unlimited number of user defined
versions for each software package allowing the administrator to
customize which versions (i.e. Maya4.0, Maya 4.5, and Maya 5.0)
are available to the user. These versions can be chosen on a per
job basis at submission time in the Watchdog client.

a software application may be shared for different job types (i.e. Maya:Mental
Ray), create a Mental Ray version and limit the version to the number
of licenses available for the mental ray renderer.
Click
the "Add Version" button and the new version will appear in
the version table above.

menu in the Watchdog client's submit dialog.
