    Dogpound Server :: RenderDog Menu

    The RenderDog menu provides access to all supported functions for the monitoring and managing the render nodes.

    Toggle Status :

    By selecting "Toggle Status" the current status of the RenderDog slot or machine (depending upon view status) can be set to offline/online. Offline will remove the RenderDog from the list of render nodes able to accept packets, but will keep the connection alive.

    Login w/ VNC:

    When VNC is defined as a helper application, this menu item acts as a shortcut to launching the remote viewing program to view the selected node.

    Shutdown Client :

    Selecting "Shutdown Client" will close the RenderDog connection and close either all RenderDog clients on the render node or the individual slot depending upon the currently selected view (Machine/Slot).

    View By Machine/Slot:

    One instance of RenderDog is launched on every render node for each processor in the machine. A dual processor render node named NODE01 will have 2 slots in the dogpound named NODE01_A and NODE01_B. When "View By Slot" is selected each RenderDog instance will show in the Render Client list and all corresponding actions (Toggle Status, Shutdown Client) will operate on the individual slot. When "View By Machine" is selected only NODE01 will show in the Render Client window but the slots will now display "2/2" meaning there are 2 available slots of 2 total slots. Additionally, corresponding actions (Toggle Status, Shutdown Client) will operate on all nodes on that particular machine.

    Grid Display:

    The RenderDog list view's background grid can be hidden independently by toggling the "View Grid" sub-menu item.

    Hide View:

    The RenderDog view can be hidden independently by selecting the "Hide View" sub-menu item.
